There are times when it's a very good idea to monitor your computer's activity. For example, you are using a shared computer and your work colleagues are using the same PC and you need to know what files they are accessing. Or you have children around the house and you need to keep a close eye on their computer activity, for making sure they don't access dangerous websites.

A program which can help you monitor your computer is SpyAgent. This Windows application is very simple to install. After the setup process is complete and you launch the program, you will be prompted to configure the application's functionality. As such, you will be able to configure SpyAgent to run completely hidden or to have icons displayed in the Start menu and system tray, for being easier to access.

Besides that, the program can be configured to send logs to the PC owner, by email and also to load at Windows startup. After configuring all these options, the program's interface will be displayed.

At this point, the user will just need to start the monitoring process. During it, SpyAgent will gather information regarding pressed keys, launched applications and websites, sent and received emails and it will even capture the desktop from time to time, for showing you what the user is doing on his computer. When the monitoring process is stopped, one will be able to view all the data gathered by the application, which will be organized in different categories, according to its type.

As such, one will be able to view all the pressed keys and the application where the keys were pressed. This is useful for viewing user passwords. Using a single mouse click, the complete program log can be archived either as a text or HTML file, for analyzing it later on. Each program module can be easily configured and there is even a scheduling feature available, which allows the application to automatically start the monitoring process at a certain hour or day.
